Reminder | Pavement Preservation Project
Jul 2, 2021
Dear Members,

Thank you in advance for your assistance during this project and for reviewing the information contained in this email. It is important that all Members/Residents are aware of this project and avoid using the section of the streets that will be barricaded off while the work is being completed.

ENCANTERRA DRIVE WILL BE CLOSED TO OUTBOUND TRAFFIC ON JULY 6TH AND 7TH, PLEASE PLAN TO USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE DURING THIS CLOSURE. Members will not be able to access Encanterra Drive from Artemis Trail, Neroli, or Secret Garden Path.

To answer a few questions we’ve received:

  • You will be able to park on a neighboring streets and at the Club during the street closures.
  • We have coordinated with the Town of Queen Creek and RAD for Trash and Recycling pick up for the streets affected by the closures.
  • The Town of Queen Creek Police, Fire, and Utilities are all aware of the closures and interruptions to traffic and will plan accordingly, specifically on Thursday, July 15th as the Good Life Way gate will be closed.
  • Encanterra Blvd. – Holbrook Asphalt has a team that will be assisting with traffic control during the lane closure, however, Members will need to use extreme caution after hours as it will be split lane traffic for 24-hours.

Please CLICK HERE to view the map, including the project schedule, and when your area will be affected.

The work will begin at approximately 7:00 AM and the streets being treated that day will be closed for approximately 24 hours. Holbrook Asphalt Co. will be hanging notices on garage doors approximately 2-3 business days prior to each section being treated. Click here (PDF) for more information about the process.

Please be sure to turn off all irrigation at least 24 hours prior to the road closure for the asphalt treatment, during the asphalt treatment and 24 hours after, as damage due to water can result in a delay of the project, as well as damage to the treated streets (which would be repaired at the Owner’s expense).

Please plan ahead, and if necessary, park your vehicles in an alternate area or street while the streets in your area are being treated. The Board is aware that parking will be an issue during the project and therefore will be allowing vehicles to be parked on the street during the project.

It is extremely important that you do not drive (any vehicles including golf carts etc.), ride your bike, park, or walk on the fresh asphalt treatment while the barricades are up; this can cause tracks in the treatments and can also track onto concrete/paver surfaces as well as carpeting/flooring etc. Holbrook Asphalt Co, Shea Homes, or the Association’s Management Company will not assume liability for any damages due to entering areas that are barricaded during the project.

  • Work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM for the streets marked on the attached map. Barricades are expected to be removed within 24 hours.
  • Because the streets do need to be clear of vehicles for the application of the asphalt treatment, please know that it will be necessary to tow (at owner’s expense) any vehicle remaining in the scheduled work area after 7:00 AM.
  • Again, avoid the newly treated asphalt surface until the barricades and/or cones have been removed. Due to the damage it may cause and the expense to the Association for repairs, anyone crossing barricades are subject to fines, as well as the cost to repair any damages.
  • If it rains on the scheduled day for your area, your section will be re-scheduled.
  • Please communicate with your vendors/contractors and advise them of the road closures.

If you have any questions regarding the asphalt treatment project, please contact the Association office at 480-306-7743 or via email at wblauvelt@associatedasset.com or mhareid@associatedasset.com. or you may also contact Holbrook Asphalt Co. at (602) 307-0425 if you have specific questions.

We apologize for any inconvenience this project may cause you or your family, and thank you in advance for your cooperation while the asphalt treatment is being applied and the roadways are improved.

Sincerely,

Wendy Blauvelt
