On This Day in Baseball History

June 2nd, 2013: At PNC Park, Garrett Jones became only the second player and the first Pirate to hit a ball into Davy Jones’ Locker on the fly when his two-run eighth inning round-tripper ties the score in the Bucs’ eventual 5-4 win over Cincinnati. In 2002, Houston’s Daryle Ward launched a shot that also splashed into the waters of the Allegheny River.
