Central Union Mission

Dear Mission Partner,

Memorial Day isn’t just about grilling burgers, swimming and enjoying a long weekend. It’s a day for remembering the men and women who have sacrificed their lives to protect our freedoms. We can honor our fallen heroes by expressing our gratitude and lending a hand to veterans and their families as they struggle to recover from this pandemic.

According to the District of Columbia Census Bureau, 14% of the District’s veterans are living below the poverty level. The Family Ministry Center serves many of them, but they are only a small portion of the thousands of families that the Family Ministry Center serves.

Many neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness wander the streets of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area each day, wondering where their next meal will come from. With your help, they can find hope and new life. Your gift today will help provide:

  • Nutritious meals
  • Safe shelter
  • Life-changing programs
  • And more

Your donation will help provide nutritious meals and groceries for the Washington, DC, Metro area’s hungriest individuals and families. You can help transform lives forever with your generous gift today.

May God bless you for caring.

Sincerely,

Joseph J. Mettimano
President & CEO
